4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. Transaction records are kept for the period required by applicable financial regulations. Verification codes expire automatically after a short period. Session tokens are revoked when you log out.

5. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account by contacting us at support@chargebuddybd.com. Upon deletion, we remove your personal profile. Transaction records may be retained for a legally required period. In-app account deletion is currently under development; please contact support in the meantime.

6. Data Security

We apply industry-standard security practices including encryption of data in transit, secure on-device storage of authentication tokens, and rate limiting on login and verification endpoints. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

7. Children’s Privacy

Charge Buddy requires a verified educational email and phone number and is intended for students and educators at accredited institutions. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@chargebuddybd.com.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed on servers located outside Bangladesh by the providers listed in Section 3. We take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected in accordance with this policy.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Charge Buddy after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
