1. Eligibility

Charge Buddy is intended for students and educators at accredited institutions in Bangladesh. To register you must provide a valid university or institutional email address and a verifiable phone number, and you must be old enough to form a binding agreement under applicable law.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for the activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your login secure. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. One account per person. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used fraudulently.

3. Renting and Returning Power Banks

• Scan a Charge Buddy station QR code in the app to rent an available power bank.
• Only one active rental is allowed per account at a time.
• A rental remains active until the power bank is returned to a Charge Buddy station and the return is confirmed by the system.
• You may return a power bank to any Charge Buddy station that has an empty slot.
• You are responsible for the rented power bank and its accessories until the return is confirmed.

4. Fees and Charges

Rental pricing is shown in the app before you start a rental. During the current launch period, rentals may be provided free of charge while payment processing is being finalised; paid rentals and any applicable charges will be clearly disclosed in the app before they take effect.

Charges accrue for the duration a power bank is kept and stop when the return is confirmed. Late returns may incur additional charges as shown in the app. Billing, refunds, and the way the service is delivered are described in our Refund Policy and Delivery Policy.

5. Loss, Damage, and Non-Return

If a power bank is lost, damaged, or not returned, a replacement or non-return fee may apply. The estimated replacement cost for a Charge Buddy power bank is approximately Tk 2,000. Do not attempt to open, modify, or repair the power bank.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms.
• Tamper with, damage, or misuse the power banks or charging stations.
• Attempt to access another user's account or interfere with the service's operation or security.
• Resell, sublease, or commercially exploit a rented power bank.

7. Service Availability

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Stations may be offline, full, or out of service. Features may change, and the service may be modified or discontinued in whole or in part.

8. Limitation of Liability

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Charge Buddy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service, including any damage a power bank may cause to your device. Always use compatible cables and charging settings.

9. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms. Outstanding charges or fees remain due.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
